Climalife anticipates the next stages of the EU F-Gas III phase-down

Since the introduction of the European F-Gas III regulation in 2024, the schedule for the gradual reduction in the placing on the market of fluorinated greenhouse gases has been published and includes two important milestones that will need to be addressed in 2027 and 2030.

This drastic reduction in quotas will have an impact on the availability of HFC products, which are still widely used in Europe in new and existing installations. In this context, Climalife is doing everything possible to support its customers in this transition by offering alternative solutions with very low GWP and appointing a key person to implement the appropriate strategy.

Person

With a scientific and technical background and a specialisation in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering from the IFFI (Institut Français du Froid Industriel), Adem Oulebsir has decided to take on this new challenge and has been appointed Quota & Product Life Cycle Business Manager.

With 15 years of experience at Climalife, Adem has acquired extensive knowledge of the needs of the distribution and installer markets, particularly through the development of strategic partnerships with key accounts in France. In light of upcoming regulatory challenges, he will now oversee the purchase of refrigerants in Europe and quota management, working in collaboration with internationally renowned producers. He will also be responsible for optimising and promoting solutions derived from waste collection.

Opinion

“My role is above all to secure the availability of transition products, guarantee the supply of new molecules with low environmental impact and accelerate our development towards a circular economy. I am delighted to be able to contribute to this and take on this challenge”.
