R-452B is a non azeotropic blend containing refrigerants from the hydrofluoro-olefin (HFO) family, designed to replace R-410A in new installations, particularly in heat pumps, commercial rooftop air conditioners, VRF systems and medium pressure liquid coolers (air/water chillers).
This new refrigerant produced by Honeywell offers many advantages over R-410A and R-32:
- It has the same operating pressure as R-410A, eliminating the need to redesign piping, brazing and packaging systems.
- It offers a lower mass flow than R-410A, which implies a 10 to 15% lower load compared to the existing equipment.
- It outperforms R-32 in heating mode and high ambient temperature conditions due to its higher critical temperature (77,1°C) and wider operating range at lower evaporating temperatures.
